Louise originally trained at the Australian National University, obtaining a six year Masters level qualification in Clinical Psychology - including a Neuropsychology specialty, with subsequent experience and training for
eighteen years in the London/SouthEast region of the United Kingdom,
including hypnotherapy training, working with complex trauma and dissociation,
extensive CBT training with Oxford University Professors,
creating and facilitating depression, anxiety and social phobia groups,
the collaborative establishment of a successful family therapy team in Kent,
involvement in the selection and supervision of Clinical Psychology Doctoral trainees,
and completion of a further three year Doctoral level qualification in Psychotherapy.
Having returned to Australia in 2010, Louise has continued to advance her skills in
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT),
Emotional Freedom approaches with Adults and Couples,
Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT)
and has completed 12 months Advanced Hypnotherapy Training with
the Australian Society of Hypnosis.
Louise also has additional specialist training, knowledge and skills in the
assessment and management of
Autistic Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorders,
as well as using Creative Therapies and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy approaches
for children and adolescents.
